Catch the Ferry, Grab a Coffee
The NYC Ferry stop at Bay Ridge changed the commute for thousands of Brooklynites. Suddenly, getting to Lower Manhattan or DUMBO meant a scenic boat ride across the harbor instead of a packed subway car. But the ferry terminal itself sits in a stretch of Bay Ridge that was not exactly overflowing with quality coffee options — until Pier 69 Market.
We are located just a short walk from the Bay Ridge ferry terminal, making us the natural coffee stop for commuters heading to or from the boat. Our doors open at 6 AM on weekdays, which gives you plenty of time to grab a La Colombe espresso, a cold brew, or a hot drip before the morning departure. If you need something more substantial, our breakfast sandwiches and smoothies are made fresh and ready in minutes — designed for people who have a ferry to catch.
The return trip works just as well. Step off the evening ferry, walk up the hill to Bay Ridge Avenue, and stop by Pier 69 for an iced coffee or a smoothie before heading home. On weekends, the ferry brings visitors to Bay Ridge for the waterfront, Owl's Head Park, and the Shore Road promenade — and we are the welcoming committee. Many of our weekend customers are people who took the ferry from Manhattan specifically to explore Bay Ridge, and they start their visit at Pier 69.
